    It’s semifinals day of the BWF World Championships 2013 on Saturday, August 10th. Lee Chong Wei (VTZF, SHB01LTD), Ratchanok Inthanon (ARC-FB, SHB01-LX), Mathias Boe(VT80)/Carsten Mogensen(ARC-FB, SHBF1NLT) and Mohammad Ahsan (ARC-FB, SHB01LTD)/Hendra Setiawan (NR800) advanced to the final for the gold medal.

(NR700RP) from India defeated former world champion Wang Yihan of China and Spanish Carolina Marin (VTZF, SHB01LX) won a nail-biting match against Sung Ji Hyun of Korea.

    At the BWF World Championships 2013 in Guangzhou, China, YONEX players appeared on court in new clothing. No. 1 seed in the men’s singles, Lee Chong Wei (VTZF, SHB01LTD) had a good start with 21-14 21-15 winning against Scott Evans from Ireland. Chong Wei was wearing new deep blue sleeveless shirt, 12065EX and crystal red men’s shorts 15025EX.

    At YONEX/OCBC US Open Championships, Sapsiree Taerattanachai (VTZF, SHB01LTD) became the first Thai woman to win this tournament. It was an event that five different nations won each title. Japanese Takeshi Kamura/Keigo Sonoda won the men’s doubles title, Lee Chun Hei (VTZF, SHB01LTD)/Chau Hoi Wah (NR800) of Hong Kong China took the mixed doubles title, men’s singles title was for Vietnam and women’s doubles was won by Chinese pair.

    The last Superseries event before the World Championships in August, the Singapore Open Superseries was held from June 18th to 23rd. World #14 ranked Tommy Sugiarto (ARC11, SHB01LTD) won his first ever Superseries title and it was the third title for world #7 Mohammad Ahsan (ARC-FB, SHB01LTD)/Hendra Setiawan (NR800).
