    The Syed Modi International India Grand Prix Gold 2014 was held from January 21st to 26th in Lucknow, India. YONEX is proud to have supported this event with our high-quality shuttlecocks, court mats, and other equipment. Local star Saina Nehwal (NR700RP) took home the title, defeating fellow Indian shuttler, Sindhu P.V. (NR700RP).

    World No. 1 Lee Chong Wei (VTZF, SHB01LTD) captured his tenth (seventh consecutive) title at the Malaysian Open, joined in the winners’ circle by fellow Malaysian Goh V Shem (ARC11) and Lim Khim Wah (VTZF), who won their first ever Superseries title in front of their home crowd.

    2012 world junior champion, 19-year-old Kento Momota of Japan, defeated former junior champion Viktor Axelsen by 12-21 24-22 21-18 in the first round of the Malaysia Open. 2013 YONEX OPEN JAPAN winner and 2013 world junior champion, 16-year-old Akane Yamaguchi, clinched a win in a tough match against 2013 world champion Ratchanok Intanon (ARC-FB,SHBF1NLX), with 21-18 23-25 21-16.
