EZONE Putter TP-01+: Sink 90% of those tricky one-meter putts with an even more forgiving putter*

Date
13 February 2019

Yonex Co., Ltd. is proud to announce the new EZONE Putter TP-01+, releasing in late February this year. The TP-01+ joins the Tripriciple line, used by multiple top pros who have enjoyed the remarkable results of putters which promise to “sink more than 90% of one-meter putts.” The new EZONE TP-01+ Putter was not only developed following the Triprinciple Theory, but incorporates a vertically milled face for improved accuracy.

The Triprinciple Theory states that - provided the club face is square at impact - any stroke which falls within the 5.61° marks delineated on the back of the club head will find the cup. This valuable performance benefit has attracted many top pros to put Triprinciple putters in their bag.

The EZONE TP-01+ Putter improves on this theory by incorporating a flared flange, which results in the effect that if the club face is open, as long as the stroke is within 10.11° of square, the putt will cup-in from within one meter out. This means that the 5.61° of forgiveness in previous clubs in the line has been improved by nearly double.

In addition to being developed with the Triprinciple Theory, the EZONE TP-01+ has a vertically milled face, which in comparison to traditionally milled faces, provides straighter putts and improved accuracy.

INNOVATION

1.    New application of tri-principle theory — by setting the flange to a slope of 1.5°, the angle of forgiveness is effectively doubled
Conventional Triprinciple Theory states that “provided the club face is square at impact - any stroke which falls within the 5.61° marks delineated on the back of the club head will find the cup.”

By incorporating a flange with a flare of 1.5° sloping towards the face, when the face is 1.5° open, if the stroke is within the 10.11° delineated on the back of the club head, the ball will find the cup. This represents nearly double the amount of forgiveness of previous Triprinciple putters.

2.    A vertically milled face ensures straighter putts
A vertically milled face provides straighter shots and better accuracy than traditionally milled faces. Additionally, a flared flange increases head size, stabilizing inertia and reducing variations in putts.
