Coco Vandeweghe Advances to Main Draw

Thursday, June 21st marked the final round of the Wimbledon ladies’ singles qualifying tournament. American No. 14 seed Coco Vandeweghe (EZONE Xi) played a very tough match against 11th seeded Lara Arruabarrena-Vecin of Spain.
Coco took the first set by 6-2, but the second set proved to be more difficult. The two of them took the set to a tie-breaker, and Coco lost 6-7(2). Coco finally won in a tense final set by 7-5, qualifying for the main draw. This is her second time playing at Wimbledon.
The Gentlemen’s and Ladies’ singles draws will be announced on Friday, June 22nd.
