Date
04 March 2013

17-year-old YONEX talent Nick Kyrgios (EZONE Xi 98) of Australia achieved great results at Nature’s Way Sydney Tennis International in Sydney last week.

Despite this being only his second ATP Challenger Tour tournament, Nick took on his tough opponents with confidence. After defeating the No. 6 seed Brydan Klein in the first round by 6-2 6-4, Nick overcame another seeded player, Stephane Robert, in straight sets by 7-5 6-3 to reach the final. Then in the championship match, he also boasted superior performance against Matt Reid, claiming his first ATP Challenger Tour title, winning by 6-3 6-2. It was his second win in 2013 since he became the junior boys’ singles champion at Australian Open 2013. Nick’s ATP ranking jumped up to 330 from 559.
