Monaco wins Hamburg title to reach Top 10

The bet-at-home Open was held in Hamburg from July 16th to 22nd. No. 3 seed Juan Monaco (VCORE 98D) won the title after playing against Tommy Haas, who defeated Roger Federer in Gerry Weber Open 2012. In 2012, it was the third time for Juan to win the clay court tournaments and he advanced to the top 10 rank (as of July 23rd).

In this tournament, Juan won the semifinal against No. 1 seed Nicolas Almagro, and recorded 31 wins and 10 loss after winning the title in this season.
 
Another YONEX player, No. 8 seed Go Soeda (VCORE 98D) met fellow Japa-nese, No. 3 seed Kei Nishikori in BB&T Atlanta Open. Go defeated the Japanese No. 1 player by 6-2, 6-1 and reached the last 4. It was the first time to become the semifinalist since Chennai Open in January.
