Imogen Bankier (SCO)
The winner of ten senior Scottish titles, Imogen Bankier has come a long way since she started playing badminton as a nine-year-old in her back garden.
She cemented her place on the world stage when she teamed up with England's Chris Adcock to take silver at the 2011 BWF World Championships at Wembley Arena. A bronze medal with Adcock followed at the European Championships in Sweden.
Born in Glasgow but now based in Milton Keynes, Imogen is proud of her roots and was the first badminton player to win the Scottish Sportsperson of the Year at the Commonwealth Games Scotland Awards.
