One of the most successful tennis players to come out of China, Zheng Jie has made her mark in both singles and doubles.
She has won a number of WTA singles titles, her first coming at Hobart in 2005, the same year that saw her climb into the World’s top 50.
The following year saw her take the doubles scene by storm when she won at Wimbledon and the Australian Open.
Zheng became the first Chinese woman to reach the semi-finals of a Grand Slam when she reached the last four of Wimbledon in 2008.
She also reached to the semi-finals at the 2010 Australian Open.
