6 YONEX Players to Play for the Gold Medal

It’s semifinals day of the BWF World Championships 2013 on Saturday, August 10th. Lee Chong Wei (VTZF, SHB01LTD), Ratchanok Inthanon (ARC-FB, SHB01-LX), Mathias Boe(VT80)/Carsten Mogensen(ARC-FB, SHBF1NLT) and Mohammad Ahsan (ARC-FB, SHB01LTD)/Hendra Setiawan (NR800) advanced to the final for the gold medal.
Chong Wei lost the first game against 3rd seed Du Pengyu of China, however, he raised his game to the another level to win the match, 20-22 21-12 21-15. He will meet his arch rival Lin Dan in the final, which will be the most exciting match in the world.
Ratchanok made another history for Thailand to be into the final of World Championships by defeating Sindhu P. V. (NR700RP) from India. Ratchanok was powerful enough to earn 21 smash winners against Sindhu, who have defeated Wang Yihan and Wang Shixian en route. These young talented 18-year-olds will be lead the world badminton soon.
The men’s doubles final is between Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen of Denmark and Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan from Indonesia. Mohammad and Hendra, who have already won 3 Superseries titles in this year, defeated Chinese Cai Yun/Fu Heifeng by 21-19 21-17 in the semifinal. 3 time Superseries Final winners, Mathias and Carsten lost the nail-biting first game by 21-23, however, their attack from higher point troubled Korean Kim Ki Jung/Kim Sa Rang. Mathias/Carsten finally won the match with a score of 21-23 21-18 21-18.
Mathias/Carsten and Koo Kien Keat (NR, SHBF1NLT)/Tan Boon Heong (NR, SHBF1NLT) visited YONEX booth at this tournament. Many fans came to the autograph session to see Danish and Malaysian stars and they were so excited.
