Activity Information during Asia Championships 2013

YONEX BADMINTON ASIA CHAMPIONSHIPS 2013 has reached the climax with 4 top seeds and 3 second seeds in the finals. Regarding YONEX players, No. 10 seed Chong Wei Feng (VT80) became the semifinalist in the men’s singles, and 2 Japanese players Eriko Hirose (ARC9FL) and Sayaka Takahashi finished as the last 4 in the women’s singles. At the doubles events, the 2013 All England men’s doubles finalists Hiroyuki Endo (VTZF) / Kenichi Hayakawa and No. 5 seed mixed doubles pair Fran Kurniawan (ARC11) / Shendy Puspa Irawati (NR700RP) also achieved to play at the semifinals.

During the tournament, special newsletter was published everyday to inform the results and players’ news, and spectators received it when they entered the stadium. Thanks to the newsletters, the fans enjoyed the matches with the interesting information.

This week YONEX-SUNRISE India Open starts from April 23th. Lee Chong Wei (VTZF) enter the men’s singles event as top seed, and Saina Nehwal (NR700RP) is also seeded as No. 1 at the women’s singles. The 2010 India Open champion Saina aims for the Superseries title again at home.
