Ahsan & Setiawan Grasp Victory with the NANORAY 900

May 19th marked day two of the Thomas and Uber Cup in India. In men’s doubles, world No. 1 Mohammad Ahsan (SHB87LTD) and Hendra Setiawan (SHBF1NLTD) won their first match with their new NANORAY 900 racquets in hand, leading Indonesia forward. The team got off to a good start, winning 5-0 against Singapore.

Malaysia faced off against Germany, with Lee Chong Wei (VTZF2, SHB01LTD) dominating over Marc Zwiebler (ARC11, SHB87EX) boasting a score of 21-14 21-8. Malaysia won the match with 4-1.

Last year’s YONEX OPEN JAPAN winner, Akane Yamaguchi had her debut match at the Uber Cup, demonstrating superb performance, coming out victorious. The Japan women’s team won in the first match against Germany, 5-0.

The NANORAY-wielding duo Kamilla Rytter Juhl (NR-ZSP) and Christinna Pedersen (NR800, SHB-01LX) of Denmark played solidly, winning their match against Malaysia. “Good start for our team here at the Uber Cup. We won 3-2 in an exciting team match against Malaysia. We won our ladies double and are happy about the way we played today.” commented the two on their Facebook page.
