Malaysia Open Kicks Off as the Superseries Premier Event

Just after one month of BWF World Superseries Finals, the stage of world badminton is back to Malaysia this week. The qualifying matches of Malaysia Open was held on Tuesday, January 14th. YONEX is supporting this event, which is held as the Superseries premier event for the first time, with the equipment such as the shuttlecock and stringing service.
Almost 1,000 people visited the Putra Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday and enjoyed watching the qualifying matches and shopping at the YONEX booth inside the stadium. YONEX Stringing Team has been busy and already strung over 300 racquets for players.
The Malaysian hero Lee Chong Wei (VTZF, SHB01LTD) won admirable seven Superseries titles last year including Superseries Finals. His next target is the seventh consecutive and tenth Malaysia Open title.
Another Superseries Finals winners, Kamilla Rytter Juhl (NR-ZSP)/Christinna Pedersen(NR800, SHB-01LX) commented via their Facebook page on Monday, “We are both happy to be back in KL even though its only 3 weeks since we were here last time. Today we had practice at Putra Stadium. We look forward to play our first match on Wednesday.”
World No. 1 men’s doubles duo, Mohammad Ahsan (ARC-FB)/Hendra Setiawan (NR800, SHBF1NLTD) will start their 2014 season from this tournament as No. 1 seed. 2014 Korea Open winners, Mathias Boe (VT80)/Carsten Mogensen (ARC-FB, SHBF1NLTD) are seeded as No. 2.
