Seeds Are Through Into the Third Round

It’s Day 3 of the BWF World Championships 2013 in Guangzhou. Seeded YONEX players advanced to the third rounds of each category.

World No. 1 Lee Chong Wei (VTZF, SHB01LTD), in different clothing from the first round, faced Indonesian Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka. Wearing white 10101EX and 15023EX, Chong Wei faced the opponent’s aggressive attack to lost the first game, 14-21. In the second game and the decider, however, the Malaysian ace took back his rhythm to advance to the third round with a score of 14-21 21-18 21-11.

At the second round of women’s singles, No. 3 seed Saina Nehwal(NR700RP) and No. 4 seed Ratchanok Inthanon (ARC-FB, SHB01-LX) played their first matches. Both Saina and Ratchanok advanced to the next round. A 18-year-old and 10th seeded Sindhu P. V. (NR700RP) from India had a tough match against Japanese Kaori Imabeppu (ARC11). During the long 72-minute match, young Sindhu made amazing 42 smash winners against the winner of 2012 All-Japan Badminton Championships.

Mathias Boe(VT80)/Carsten Mogensen(ARC-FB), in crystal red men’s polo shirt 10098EX and men’s shorts 15025EX, defeated Philippine’s Philip Joper Escueta/Magnaye peter Gabriel by 21-11 21-10 in 22 minutes. They introduced their new outfits on their Facebook page and their fans loved them.
