World Tour Finals 2018: Pusarla V Sindhu brings home gold!

Guangzhou, China — After winning silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics, the 2017 and 18 World Championships, as well as the Dubai World Superseries Finals 2017, Pusarla V Sindhu (IND) finally experienced her first major title gold medal on Sunday, defeating rival Nozomi Okuhara (JPN) — who dashed her World Championship hopes in 2017 — at the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals 2018, 21-19, 21-19.
Also, fellow Team Yonex member Ayaka Takahashi, along with her team mate, Misaki Matsumoto, took gold in Women’s Doubles, defeating Korean pair Lee So Hee and Shin Seung Chan, 21-12, 22-20, marking the end of a season in which the Japanese women have dominated the discipline.
