Saina Nehwal (IND)
India’s Saina Nehwal has a number of firsts to her name including being the first Indian to win the World Junior Badminton Championships in 2008.
Saina’s parents were also badminton champions. Her victory at the 2009 Indonesian Open ensured she was the first woman from her country to win a Super Series tournament.
Further titles followed and she also reached the final of the BWF Super Series Masters Final in 2011.
