Hyo-Joo Kim Ensures Top of Money List with Third Title in This Season
- 04 August 2014
YONEX golfer Hyo-Joo Kim captured her third Korean LPGA Tour title of the season at the Hanwha Finance Classic held from July 31st to August 3rd. Following this victory, the 19-year-old Korean golfer earned more than seven-hundred-million won in prize money. This makes her the first golfer on the Korean tour to win that amount of money this early in the tour. She is now very close to becoming the money list winner for the first time in her career.
Hyo-Joo has been demonstrating superior performance recently, taking the lead not only in the money list, but also in her scoring average and driving accuracy. She also stands in first place in total driving—calculated with a player’s rank in both driving distance and driving accuracy—meaning that her tee shot is very steady, and has good distance and control. “YONEX’s clubs and shafts are the key to hitting a stable tee shot,” said Hyo-Joo, very pleased with her i-EZONE and REXIS KAIZA.
Another YONEX golfer, Sun-Ju Ahn also competed in this tournament as a guest player, impressing the gallery by competing head to head with Hyo-Joo, tying for first place on the first day.
Be sure to keep your eyes on these two money leaders on the Japan and Korea tours, and also check out their YONEX golf gear that’s helping them out on their way to the top.
