We are pleased to announce that we YONEX made a new contract with an 18-year-old Korean professional golfer Hyo-Joo Kim. She is the rising player who became the youngest ever champion in the JLPGA Tour history at the tender age of 16 years and 332 days, winning the 2012 Suntory Ladies Open when she was still an amateur. YONEX will support her future career with golf club equipment including shafts.
The Korean youngster already has brilliant career that she claimed the 2011 Junior World Golf Championships title in the girls 15-17 division. After that, Hyo-Joo won a sensational victory at the 2012 season-opening tournament of the Korean Tour, Lotte Mart Ladies Open as an amateur golfer, overwhelming tough professionals including the 2011 KLPGA Money Leader Ha-Neul Kim.
“I was very pleased with distance, control and feeling when I tested YONEX clubs and shafts. Now I feel I’m sure that they are helpful for me to achieve a Grand Slam in the LPGA Tour as my dream. I trust YONEX that deliver high-quality products, and would like to do my best with their equipment,” Hyo-Joo talked.
