YONEX Golfers Top Money Lists in Japan and Korea; Hyo-Joo Kim Claims First Major Title of KLPGA Tour
- 23 June 2014
18-year-old Korean professional golfer, Hyo-Joo Kim won her first title of the year at the Korean LPGA Tour’s Kia Motors Korea Women's Open Championship held from June 19th to 22nd. Hyo-Joo has shown impressive performance since she started to use YONEX clubs and shafts this year, and finally captured her first victory with YONEX’s gear.
From the opening day to the third day, Hyo-Joo played very solidly, finishing each round under par. Also in the final day, she played steadily with her i-EZONE clubs and REXIS KAIZA shafts, securing a two-stroke victory over the runner-up. It’s not only the second title in Hyo-Joo’s professional career but also her first major title of the KLPGA Tour.
Following another Korean YONEX golfer Sun-Ju Ahn, who is the current JLPGA Money Leader with three titles in 2014, Hyo-Joo also surged into the top of the KLPGA Money List with this win. We are proud to say that both Money Leaders in Japan and Korean LPGA Tour use YONEX’s clubs and shafts. Keep your eyes on their further achievements in future tournaments!
Hyo-Joo has played with confidence finishing in the top ten at seven of nine tournaments since she switched her gear to YONEX.
