Ana and Angelique Semifinalists at BNP Paribas Open

19 March 2012

Both Angelique Kerber (VCORE 100S) and Ana Ivanovic (EZONE Xi98) were semifinalists at the 2012 BNP Paribas Open.

Angelique faced world No.1 Victoria Azarenka in her fourth semifinal of the 2012 season. Angelique’s WTA ranking is at No.14, a career high (ranking as of March 19th).

Meanwhile, Ana had to retire at the beginning of the second set of her semifinal match due to an injury. Thankfully, her injury doesn’t seem to be too serious, and she will come back to play in the Sony Ericson Open in Miami later this week.

Other YONEX players will also play along with Ana in Miami this week. Be sure to keep your eyes on them.

In other news, at Indian Wells, Stanislas Wawrinka (VCORE 98D) talked about his SHT308EX shoes.

"I think the YONEX shoes are now amazing. They are really light and my feet don't get tired so that is something perfect for me. I think they fit my feet really well and I can move really well on the court."
