Stan’s Clothing of Choice for the 2014 Australian Open

Date
09 January 2014

The first Grand Slam tournament of 2014, the Australian Open, will be held from January 13th to 26th. Stanislas Wawrinka (New Racquet*) is ready for the first big event of the year, winning in the preliminary tournament, the Aircel Chennai Open, last week.

Tennis fans were enchanted by Stan’s exciting and close battle against Novak Djokovic in the fourth round at the last year’s Australian Open. His spirited and aggressive play put Djokovic through his faces throughout the five-set match, even though Stan lost the match. It proved to be a good start for Stan that year, as we went on to reach world No. 8, and got to his first Grand Slam semifinal at the US Open.

Getting the 2014 season off to a great start with his Chennai Open title, Stan is concentrating on keeping and improving his form. “The only thing I can control is what I’m doing off the tennis matches, like practice, my schedule and that’s how I can improve and try to improve, then the results, we’ll see. I will take match after match and try to win each match that I can,” said Stan, according to the official Australian Open website.

From the start of this season, Stan will compete wearing our 2014 Melbourne model of tennis clothing. Following the Chennai Open, he appeared on the court with our 12082EX shirt and 15031EX shorts at the AAMI Kooyong Classic yesterday.
