EZONE Ai Players Aim for Main Draw in Paris
- 23 May 2014
Two EZONE Ai players made it to the next round of qualifiers at this year’s Roland Garros. 23-year-old Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis (EZONE Ai 98, PTGSPN, SHT-PRO) defeated Tim Puetz of Germany in straight sets, 6-4 7-5, advancing to the final elimination, with sights set on the main draw. To make his second appearance in Roland Garros, Ricardas has to get past Australia’s James Duckworth in today’s match.
Meanwhile, in women’s qualifiers, Japanese EZONE Ai user Ayumi Morita (EZONE Ai 100, PTGSPN) made a strong start, overpowering Florencia Molinero of Argentina with seven breaks at 6-3 6-1. Ayumi strives to achieve her seventh consecutive entry into the world’s biggest clay-court event, taking on Grace Min from the US in the next match.
During those tough clay-court matches in Paris, YONEX SHT-PRO ensures Ricardas smoother movement and maximum energy transfer in his footwork. This high-end tennis footwear has already won the praises of French and US tennis magazines in performance tests.
In addition to its greater stability and durability, the SHT-PRO’s cushioning was highly rated in both magazines’ tests. SHT-PRO user Stanislas Wawrinka (VCORE Tour G) took our POWER CUSHION Egg Test, demonstrating its excellent cushioning performance on video.
