Monaco Wins Hamburg Title to Reach Top 10

The bet-at-home Open was held in Hamburg from July 16th to 22nd. No. 3 seed Juan Monaco (VCORE 98D) won the title after playing against Tommy Haas, who defeated Roger Federer in the 2012 Gerry Weber Open. It was Juan’s third time winning a clay court tournament in 2012, and he advanced to the top 10 rank (as of July 23rd).

In this tournament, Juan won the semifinal against No. 1 seed Nicolas Almagro, with a recorded 31 wins and 10 losses after winning the title in this season.
Another YONEX player, No. 8 seed Go Soeda (VCORE 98D) met fellow Japanese player, No. 3 seed Kei Nishikori in BB&T Atlanta Open. Go defeated the Japanese No. 1 player by 6-2, 6-1 and reached the final four. It was his first time as a semifinalist since the Chennai Open in January.
