Osaka Ascends to World No 4: Earns birth at WTA Final

The release of the official WTA World Ranking on Oct. 8th revealed Naomi Osaka had once again made history. Tying former tennis star Kimiko Date for the highest tennis singles ranking of an athlete of Japanese descent. Coincidentally, the rising star also qualified for the WTA Finals Singapore.

Osaka’s remarkable success as of late, was the motivating factor in her decision to play for the first time in the Finals. A collection of the best singles athletes have competed all year for a chance to fill out the coveted top 8 seats and the tournament is finally set to kick off Oct. 21-28.  

Osaka 's tremendous play still continues to entertain the fans this season as she embarks on her next challenge.
