YONEX Players Reach 3rd Round with Overwhelming Victories

It was a great day for YONEX players that they secured crushing victories to advance to the third round of Roland Garros 2013.
Three YONEX ladies stood on red clay to play the second round match yesterday. Number fourteen seed Ana Ivanovic (EZONE Xi 98) faced Mathilde Johansson and overcame the opponent with her solid serves. Winning 20 of 23 first serve points, Ana defeated the French player by 6-2, 6-2 in 58 minutes.
World top eight-ranked Angelique Kerber (VCORE Xi 100) capitalized on break chances to overpower Jana Cepelova. She took just one hour to complete the match with a 6-2, 6--2 score line winning 6 of 7 break points.
Another VCORE player Sabine Lisicki (VCORE Tour 97, PTGSPN) had superior attacking ability to overwhelm Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor. After winning the first set by 6-4, she boosted her offensive form to capture the next set without losing any games in only 19 minutes. Hitting with her VCORE Tour racquet, Sabine earned 32 winners throughout the match.
On the fifth day, No. 12 seed Maria Kirilenko (EZONE Xi 98, PTGP125), who recorded a 6-0, 6-1 victory against Nina Bratchikova at the opener yesterday, faces Ashleigh Barty of Australia. Meanwhile, in the men’s singles, No.9 seed Stanislas Wawrinka (VCORE Tour 97) meets Argentina’s Horacio Zeballos at the second round.
