YONEX announced its new tennis racquet, the VCORE Xi, to consumers on yonex.com yesterday. Using the VCORE Xi racquet, Juan Monaco (VCORE Xi 98) won the Malaysian Open title last week and offered his impressions on the VCORE Xi. “This new racquet gives me more spin. I felt very good at the first try, especially for spin and control of the forehand shots. I feel great playing with this racquet and I would like everybody to try the VCORE Xi. This racquet gave me additional power to win Malaysian Open.”
Today Australian Bernard Tomic (VCORE 98D, PTGSPN) faces Dmitry Tursunov in the opener. “Hi, I’m here now in Tokyo Japan. I have played well in Bangkok last week so hopefully I can win here the Japan Open. That would be a dream come true for me. But there are a lot of good players and try my best the first round,” commented Bernard before the big tournament.
