YONEX Players Compete in Tokyo with New EZONE Ai

Toray Pan Pacific Open kicked off at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo on Sunday, September 22nd, and YONEX players started using a new EZONE Ai racquet to compete at the tournament.

No. 11 seed Ana Ivanovic (EZONE Ai 98) overpowered Annika Beck of Germany at her opening match in straight sets [6-1, 6-1]. Ana took the initiative with her aggressive groundstrokes and some big serves including 6 aces from the brand new EZONE Ai 98 racquet. Capitalizing on 6 of 7 break points, she showed accomplished performance to reach the second round.

Talented 16-year-old Swiss player, Belinda Bencic (EZONE Ai 100, PTGH125), challenged the senior event and won her opener against Russia’s Daria Gavrilova with a 6-2, 5-7, 7-5 score line. And then she had a close contest with her tough opponent, No. 7 seed Petra Kvitova, in the second round.
