YONEX Players Progress to the Finals in Monterrey and Charleston

It was a great week for YONEX as 3 female players advanced to the finals in Monterrey and Charleston.
In Monterrey Open, the world No. 6 Angelique Kerber (VCORE Xi 100) has met 2 YONEX players throughout the tournament. To play at the singles final, she has overcome No. 3 seed Maria Kirilenko (EZONE Xi 98, PTGP125) by 6-4 2-6 6-2 in the semifinals after defeating No. 8 seed Japanese Ayumi Morita (EZONE Xi, PTGSPN) in straight sets. It was her first final in 2013.
Angelique’s choice VCORE Xi 100 has supported her solid performance through the tournament and she mentioned, “This racquet is outstanding. It provides great levels of spin yet the racquet feels very stable. The power I can generate from this racquet gives me the confidence to take my game to the next level.”
In the doubles event of Monterrey Open, Japanese veteran Kimiko Date-Krumm (S-FIT, PTGSPN) reached the final with Timea Babos ,and they defeated No. 3 seeds Eva Birnerova / Tamarine Tanasugarn by 6-1 6-4 to claim the title. It was Kimiko’s fifth doubles title of her career.
