Yonex Racquets Dominate Path to WTA Finals

22 October 2018

Yonex surpasses Wilson and Head, becoming the leading racquet provider for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore. Nine out of the total twenty-four athletes will draw their Yonex racquets to compete for a chance at the title.

With all the world’s greatest Women’s Singles and Doubles Tennis athletes converging on the Malay Peninsula October 21st - 28th Naomi Osaka and Angelique Kerber lead the charge from #TeamYonex and play their first match tonight. Osaka, who will play in her first final, described her feelings about the tournament.

“Qualifying for the WTA Finals is a huge accomplishment,” she described to WTA. “Winning the WTA Rising Stars Invitational in 2015 helped give me the confidence to play on the big stages so I am excited to go back to Singapore and compete with the top players of the season.”

Kerber takes on Kiki Bertens (NED) and Osaka will get a rematch two years in the making against Sloane Stephens (USA) later tonight.
