Also Mr. Kian Pin Lay is the skilled stringer, who had important roles at several Grand Slam tournaments and big tennis events like Davis Cup.

With the expert stringers, the YONEX stringing team is working hard to meet players’ requests for their best performances. If you have an opportunity to visit the Ariake Colosseum, please come to the YONEX booth so that you can see their great skills.

Two YONEX players, Angelique Kerber (VCORE Xi 100) and Ana Ivanovic (EZONE Ai 98), met in the third round of the Toray Pan Pacific Open on Wednesday, September 26th.

No. 5 seed Angelique showed spirited play enough to overcome Ana’s versatile attacks. It was a close contest but the 25-year-old German exceeded her opponent in serving performance including 6 aces. “I think my serve was very well so that was the key of the match. It was very close match so I’m happy with my performance tonight,” Angelique said after securing a win with a 6-4, 6-2 score line.

In the quarterfinals on Thursday, Angelique faces the 2011 champion, Agnieszka Radwnska, aiming for the revenge of the last year’s semifinal match.
