YONEX Supports Toray Pan Pacific Open
- 28 September 2012
Every event of the Toray Pan Pacific Open is approaching its climax. No. 5 seed Angelique Kerber (VCORE) advanced to the semifinals upon her opponent’s withdrawal, and she will play against defending champion Agnieszka Radwanska next.
During this tournament, YONEX set up a booth to display our products and autographed photos of our advisory staff. The players added comments about the tournament with their autographs. Sabine Lisicki (VCORE Tour 97), who will play in the women’s doubles semifinal today, left a message saying, “I’m happy to be in Tokyo again. I love it here & I’m looking forward to playing! Hope to get your support.”
Now, the YONEX stringing team is working as the official stringer for the tournament at the booth. The stringing corner is open to visitors, so they can see the team members’ work.
On the first day of the tournament, YONEX held an event for tennis fans to try our racquets and strings. We also held a stringing seminar for tennis coaches and sales staff. Our stringing team directly taught the stringing process, and answered participants’ questions.
