Zheng Jie Advances to Third Round

30 August 2012

On Day 3 of the US Open, No. 28 seed Zheng Jie (EZONE Xi 98, PTGSPN) faced Magdalena Rybarikova in the second round. The EZONE Xi player showed very solid performance throughout the match and exploited opportunities to break, converting four of five break points. Jie defeated her opponent in straight sets, 6-3 6-1 and advanced to the third round steadily. It’s her third time playing in the third round of US Open, and we hope that Jie will make a new record in this tournament.

In men’s singles, 2011 US Open champion Lleyton Hewitt (VCORE 95D) met Tobias Kamke in the first round, winning the tough match by 4-6 6-2 6-1 6-4. Lleyton played persistently and his spirited performance brought victory, despite losing in the first set. It was Lleyton’s first time in three years winning the opener of the US Open.

Many of YONEX’s players use YONEX grips. Since its launch in 1987, the AC102EX has become YONEX’s bestselling grap, having sold enough to wrap around the Earth three times.

YONEX AC102EX Super Grap enhances the playability of players’ racquets by absorbing shock and perspiration, giving players excellent levels of control and comfort, so they can hit that winning shot.

“Whatever the playing conditions, my YONEX Super Grap allows me to grip my racquet with total confidence and helps me create match winning shot. The world’s best players have relied on the YONEX Super Grap for twenty-years, and that gives me great confidence,” commented Caroline Wozniacki (VCORE 100S).
