Caroline Wozniacki was destined to be a star whatever sport she chose. Her father was a professional footballer and her mother was a member of the Polish national volleyball team.

Born in Odense, Denmark, she made her debut on the WTA Tour in 2005 and clinched the Wimbledon Girls title the following year.

Caroline has represented Denmark in the Fed Cup since 2005. Her best Grand Slam tournament performance came when she reached the final of the 2009 US Open – becoming the first Danish woman to do so – and she was runner-up in the 2010 end of season WTA Tour Championships in Doha.

She finished 2010 and 2011 as World number one and was named ITF Player of the Year in 2010.
