POWER ISOMETRIC
The 20% larger effective ISOMETRIC area in the heart of the frame allows
serves to be delivered with more speed and control from higher in the stringbed.
Introducing the next stage in the evolution of the YONEX ISOMETRIC theory. POWER ISOMETRIC is a wider ISOMETRIC area that increases the already large YONEX Square Head sweetspot by 20% compared with a conventional round head racquet. The construction yields more power and more repulsion. It reduces the inert space found in the conventional round frame but it keeps the sweetspot the same size. This makes the racquet easier to swing through and gives it topnotch manoeuvrability, as well.

Aero Shape for high repulsion and heavy top spin
The Aero Shape of RQiS Series racquets creates more frame thickness for higher repulsion. Compared with a conventional frame, the Aero Shape creates a thinner, more flexible shaft that sends hits downcourt with more top spin. The YONEX Aero Shape together with the Cup-Stack Carbon Nanotube structure, instant-recovery Elastic Ti frame, and Dual OPS shaft create racquets that deliver the perfect mix of speed, power and control.
ISOMETRIC
10% bigger sweetspot than an ordinary round head racquet
The ISOMETRIC square head shape reduces the inert space found in a conventional round frame. As a result, the racquet is easier to swing through and has superior manoeuvrability.
The sweetspot is the area of a racquet where the longest main and longest cross strings meet in the stringbed. In an ordinary roundframe racquet, the sweetspot is where the 8 main and 11 cross strings meet.
In the YONEX ISOMETRIC square head racquet, 10 main and 13 cross strings meet in the stringbed to produce a sweetspot that is 10% larger than the effective hitting area of a conventional round head racquet.

AERO-BOX VARIFRAME
The
YONEX AERO-BOX VARI FRAME combines the aerodynamic profile of a
frame head that is pared on the sides for a quicker swing-through in
any situation-with a squared upper and lower frame section and additional
Tungsten IPS weighting for 15% more weight and face stability than an
ordinary racquet. The AERO-BOX VARI FRAME reduces wind drag by 10% compared
with a standard air-flow pattern, maximizing the power of the swing and
the transfer of energy to the ball. In addition, besides high anti-torque
performance for extra power with control, the AERO-BOX VARI FRAME's extended
dwell time makes it easier to create high-speed tactical shots that sizzle
with spin.
SOFT GROMMET
RDS Racquets feature soft grommets in the corners of the frame. These
function to reduce the shock of off-centre hits which, in effect, widens
the sweetspot further still.

RDS002 Racquet incorporate the YONEX Soft Grommet II
construction - a construction featuring Soft Grommets plus an additional high-strength plate for greater durability and protection against damage when the frame strikes the ground.

Elastic Ti charges the shaft for power, velocity and better control
YONEX Nano-scale Elastic Ti is the only alloy providing racquet qualities once considered impossible - extremely low elasticity and extremely high strength together.
Elastic Ti is 44% less elastic and 8% stronger compared with the previous best Ti alloy.
The lower a shaft's elasticity, the more it flex it provides and the higher its strength, the more resiliency it delivers.
FLEX / TORSION CONTROL
The front of the shaft is 14% wider that a conventional racquet's. The
wider YONEX shaft increases the racquet's ability to provide high repulsion
power, manoeuvrability and to generate solid and stable shots at full
swing.
O.P.S.
O.P.S. (Oval Pressed Shaft) technology builds into the throat, the right
amount of flex for an extended dwell time for easier spin and directional
control.
SHOCKLESS GROMMET
YONEX integrates Shockless Grommets at the side and bottom of the frame
to minimize the muscle fatigue of long play. In addition to their ability
to protect the wrist, forearm and elbow by absorbing shock, Shockless
Grommets provide a soft feel at impact.
