India is a country where badminton is very popular, and interest in the sport has been growing along with the success of the country's players in international competitions in recent years. Against this backdrop, YONEX established YONEX INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED in 2016 to manufacture mainly entry-level models of badminton racquets under high quality control in order to meet the increasing demand for badminton equipment in India. YONEX INDIA will continue to focus on manufacturing high quality badminton racquets "made by Yonex" to satisfy Indian customers and contribute to the popularization and development of badminton in India.

The Making of Yonex Aluminum Badminton Racquets

01 Aluminum Shaping

Aluminum pipes are formed into racquet frames.

02 Drilling

An automatic machine drills stringing holes into the racquet frame.

03 Assembling

The frame, joint, shaft, and grip are assembled together.

04 Painting

Skilled employees apply layers of paint to create the design.

05 Decal Pasting

Decals are carefully applied by hand, completing the design.

06 Stringing

Employees string all the racquets.

07 Leather wrapping

Wrapping leather around the grip.

08 Shipping

The racquet is packaged and shipped to various locations.

    Materials received from suppliers are checked against invoices to ensure that there are no problems with quality and packaging at the receiving stage.

    I have learned about "multifaceted thinking" and "punctuality" from the industry and my colleagues. It is always a pleasure to be in the office. It's like a school, where I learn something new every day. I enjoy being involved in the manufacturing process every day.

    Almost every day is memorable, but the most memorable of all is when my work is appreciated by my team members. The working environment of a global company gives me a great opportunity to contribute through my opinions and ideas. Thank you Team YONEX.

    The day I was appointed team leader for the full carbon molding and assembly process was one of the most memorable moments of my career.

    My work is related to the design of badminton Racquets. The position of the decal is important, so I focus on the quality of the paste and the training of new members.

    I feel happy when I can solve decal pasting related problems with my teammates.

  • Q. Please tell us about some of the most memorable episodes of your work so far.

    When I applied a decal for the first time it was joyful moment for me.

Prepreg/Shaft Division - Prepreg Cutting and Setting

    The quality of the prepreg cutting and setting is critical. We focus on machine settings at the start of the cutting, and we also conduct periodic inspections during the prepreg setting process.

    I enjoy my daily work and encourage my colleagues to focus on quality.

    The most memorable moment for me when I was hired by Yonex.
