2021 Nordea Open: Ruud Wins in Bastad

BASTAD, Sweden – World No. 16 Casper Ruud (NOR) won his 2nd ATP title in 2021 with a straight-set victory over Federico Coria, 6-3, 6-3.

“It was an incredible week, maybe the best week of my life,” Ruud said. “It is an incredible feeling playing here in Bastad with the Swedish, Norwegian and Danish support. There is nothing like that home crowd feeling.”

Top-seeded Ruud breezed through the draw in Bastad. He did not drop a set all week en route to his 20th win this season on clay.

Ruud will move to his career-high ranking of 14 on Monday.
