YONEX in collaboration with PBSI Legends’ Global Tour in Jakarta brings together four true legends of the sport Taufik Hidayat, Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei and Peter Gade in their shared goal of raising the awareness of badminton across the globe.
The four Legends will be thrilling the audience with their vast array of phenomenal shot making skills together with a number of exciting exhibition matches. They will be joined in the exhibition matches by special guests and legends from years past, Candra Wijaya and Rexy Mainaky.
Both doubles specialists, Candra Wijaya was rated amongst the best men's doubles players in the world. Known for his ability in all phases of the doubles game, he reached the final of the BWF World Championships three times and he won the men's doubles gold medal at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, whilst Rexy Mainaky was of the most internationally successful doubles players in the 90’s. Renowned for his speed and power, he won the men’s doubles gold medal in Atlanta in 1996 together with back to back YONEX All England Open Championship titles in 1995 and 1996. They have both also won three Thomas cups as part of the Indonesia team.
