Former World No.1 YONEX player, Ana Ivanovic, overpowered fellow Serbian Jovana Jaksic at the Abierto Monterrey final on Sunday, and won the second WTA title in 2014 and 13th of her career.
Ana also won in Auckland in the first week of the 2014 season and became the third player this season to win multiple WTA titles. This marks the first time for Ana to capture multiple WTA titles in a season since 2010.
"So happy to win Monterrey! This is my second victory of the 2014 season. Even in the toughest situations, I feel that my racquet’s stability allows me to attack with more speed.” Ana said.
