Arizona, USA— The “Ford Championship by Wild Horse Pass” was held in Arizona, USA, from March 27 to March 30. Team YONEX’s Hyo Joo Kim (KOR) claimed her first victory of the 2025 LPGA Tour season, marking her seventh career win.
Hyo Joo Kim started the final round tied for 5th place, four shots behind the leader. She delivered an impressive performance, shooting an 8-under 64, bringing her total score to 22-under. She clinched victory in a playoff on the first hole, securing a come-from-behind win.
The Iwai sisters, who began competing full-time on the LPGA Tour this season, also competed in the event. Akie Iwai had a strong start, finishing the first day just three strokes behind the leader at 6-under. She ended the tournament tied for 44th with a total score of 10-under. Although Chisato Iwai had a slow start on the first day, she bounced back with aggressive play, finishing tied for 22nd with a total score of 14-under — a solid performance.
