New Additions to the Yonex REXIS Series: REXIS SteelCore and KAIZA Lightweight Shafts

TOKYO, Japan – Yonex Co., Ltd. announces new releases in its popular custom-order "REXIS" carbon shaft series. These include the hybrid carbon-steel iron shafts "REXIS SteelCore Type-H" and "REXIS SteelCore Type-L," as well as lightweight wood shafts in the "REXIS KAIZA L 4R/4S," "REXIS KAIZA M 4R/4S," and "REXIS KAIZA HP 4R/4S" models, weighing in the 40g range.

The "REXIS SteelCore" series combines advanced carbon and steel materials to deliver high-speed, high-launch iron shots. We added two new shaft models in response to ambitious golfers' feedback. The "Type-L" offers a responsive shaft using TORAYCA® M40X carbon fiber, while the "Type-H" includes both M40X and the highly flexible TOUGH G-FIBER, providing a more controlled feel. Both models balance the stability of steel with the ease of carbon for smooth, consistent shots.

The "REXIS KAIZA" wood shafts, used by Team Yonex pro golfers, now include lightweight options. The KAIZA L model promotes rapid acceleration at the tip, the KAIZA M offers firm ball compression, and the KAIZA HP improves shot consistency. These new lightweight shafts cater to a wide range of players, including juniors and female golfers, ensuring the perfect fit for their swing.

INNOVATION

REXIS SteelCore Type-L / Type-H (For Irons)

  1. Optimized Materials for Optimal Swing
The REXIS SteelCore iron shafts, a fusion of advanced carbon and steel, are available in two variations: one with a "springy" feel and one with a more "sticky" feel. These shafts deliver performance tailored to both swing style and desired ball trajectory by placing the ideal materials in critical areas.

REXIS SteelCore Type-L (Springy)

REXIS SteelCore Type-H (Sticky)

TORAYCA® M40X
A carbon fiber that combines high strength and elasticity, enhancing shot consistency and ball control. This material is applied throughout the shaft to achieve ultra-low torque, surpassing steel.

(Note: TORAYCA® M40X is an advanced carbon fiber developed by Toray Industries, balancing the conflicting properties of high strength and high elasticity.)

TOUGH G-FIBER
This proprietary material is about three times more flexible than carbon, providing a natural, resilient feel in the grip area, exclusive to the Type-H model.

      2. Enhanced Feel for Control Shots

The blend of advanced carbon and steel offers a smooth, controlled feel,

improving the sensation of the ball staying on the clubface.

      3. Available in Three Weight Categories

Three weight options—95S, 110S, and 120X—allow players to choose based on their power

level  for improved swing stability and consistent distance.
