Hyo-Joo Kim Wins LPGA Tour Opener with New Yonex Clubs and Shafts

Hyo-Joo Kim won the season-opening Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic on Sunday, relegating World No. 3 Stacy Lewis to yet another second-place finish. The Korean golfer maintains strong performance with Yonex’s new EZONE XPG clubs and REXIS KAIZA shafts.

The 20-year old managed to control her driver very well immediately from day 1, her driving accuracy clocking in at 92.9%. This extraordinary percentage was of course reflected in her performance, allowing Hyo-Joo to gain the advantage on each hole and shoot a substantial amount of birdies, made possible with her EZONE XPG driver and REXIS KAIZA shafts.

The young Korean star has now has three LPGA Tour victories to her name, her previous triumphs coming at the 2015 Founders Cup and 2014 Evian Championship. Other achievements include becoming the youngest ever champion in JLPGA Tour history at the tender age of 16 years and 332 days, winning the 2012 Suntory Ladies Open while she was still an amateur. She also has a staggering nine victories on the Korean LPGA tour.

“I have started using EZONE XPG clubs and REXIS KAIZA shafts as of this season. I’m satisfied with my distance, and the woods and irons make my shots more accurate. I’ll try to win again in this season with these high performance clubs by my side, with hopes of competing at the Olympic this year.” commented an overjoyed Hyo-Joo.
