Indian Wells 2017: Yonex Stars Continue to Shine in the Desert

Yonex tennis stars are continuing to impress at this year’s Indian Wells, making great progress in the tournament’s second week.

Japanese youngster Yoshihito Nishioka (VCORE SV 98POLYTOUR SPINPOWER CUSHION FUSIONREV2) will go face to face against 3-Time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka (VCORE Duel G 97POWER CUSHION ECLIPSION) on Wednesday in the fourth round of the BNP Paribas Open.

Yoshihito impressed crowds by pulling off a stunning comeback against No. 13 seed Tomas Berdych. Despite being down 1-6, 5-2, the NextGen ATP star aggressively seized offensive opportunities, forcing a tiebreaker to win the second set. Yoshihito boasted robust returns in the deciding set, winning with a final score of 1-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4.

Meanwhile, Stan The Man overcame Philipp Kohlschreiber with his heavy power game, smashing away 7 aces en route to a straight 7-5, 6-3 victory. Stan remains undefeated against the German, improving his record to 5-0.

EZONE DR Powers Through


Nick Kyrgios (EZONE DR 98POLYTOUR PRO 120) quickly dispatched the teenage Alexander Zverev to advance into round 4. The Australian sealed a straight 6-3, 6-4 win over the young German with strong serves off of his EZONE DR, and a number of exciting crowd-pleasing shots—including his signature tweeners.
