Mardan Mamat Triumphs in Inaugural Bangladesh Open

Singaporean golfer Mardan Mamat earned his fifth Asian Tour title on May 30th at the inaugural Bashundhara Bangladesh Open.



The 47-year-old golfer led throughout all four rounds of the tournament, and managed to reach 15 of 18 greens in regulation thanks to his keen iron shots on the final day. Mardan boasted impressive resolve under the hot Bangladesh sun, keeping his performance steady with birdies on the sixth and 12th holes in the final round.

“I’m the first Bashundhara Bangladesh Open winner so this is a special win,” commented the Singaporean golfer on the official Asian Tour website. “I managed to steady myself and play my own game,” he continued, commenting on his performance.

An overjoyed Mardan won the tournament with a final score of 14-under 270.
