Zheng Jie Advances in Mixed Doubles, Stan and Ana Head to QFs
On Day 9, Zheng Jie (EZONE Ai 98, POLYTOUR SPIN) and Henri Kontinen reached the mixed doubles semifinals after defeating Yung-Jan Chan and John Peers. The pair won 83% of their 1st serve points, sealing the match at 6-4, 6-4.
Today sees Stan and Ana Ivanovic (EZONE Ai 98) hit the clay for their quarterfinal matches. Stan faces fellow countryman Roger Federer. The two brought their country to victory at the 2014 Davis Cup, so it will be interesting to see how the two face off against each other as Stan continues to aim for his next Grand Slam title.
2008 champion Ana will face Elina Svitolina of Ukraine. No. 7 seed Ana is undefeated in six matches against the No. 21 seed.
