The last major event of this year, the BWF World Superseries Finals will kick off today at the Stadium Badminton in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. YONEX is a proud supporter of this prestigious event as the official equipment supplier.
In Group A of men’s singles, YONEX player world No. 1 Lee Chong Wei (VTZF, SHB01LTD) faces China’s Wang Zhengming. Kenichi Tago (NR-ZSP), in Group B, faces Hu Yun (NR-ZSP) and Tommy Sugiarto (ARC11, SHB01LTD) meets fellow Indonesian player, Sony Dwi Kuncoro.
In the women’s singles YONEX player Saina Nehwal (NR700RP) will face Minatsu Mitani (ARC9FL) in Group B.
World No. 1 in the men’s doubles, YONEX players Mohammad Ahsan (ARC-FB, SHBF1NLTD)/Hendra Setiawan (NR800,SHBF1NLTD) will face Macau Open GPG winner, Hoon Thien How (VTZF)/Tan Wee Kiong (VTZF) in Group A. In Group B the three time champions in this event, Mathias Boe (VT80)/Carsten Mogensen (ARC-FB), meet Ko Sung Hyun/Lee Yong Dae. Another match of Group B will be played between Hiroyuki Endo (VTZF)/Kenichi Hayakawa and Hirokatsu Hashimoto (ARC11)/Noriyasu Hirata (ARC11).
Ayaka Takahashi (VT80)/Misaki Matsutomo of women’s doubles, Group A, will face Jang Ye Na/Kim So Young. In Group B, Kamilla Rytter Juhl (NR-ZSP)/Christinna Pedersen (NR800, SHB-01LX) meet Duanganong Aroonkesorn/Kunchala Voravichitchaikul. Reika Kakiiwa (AT900T)/Miyuki Maeda (VT70) face Wang Xiaoli/Yu Yang (F).
The YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Open champion Chris Adcock (VTZF, SHB01LTD)/Gabrielle Adcock (VT80, SHB-01LX) will face Chan Peng Soon (ARC10, SHBF1NLTD)/Goh Liu Ying (NR-ZSP, SHBF1NLX) in Group A of mixed doubles.
