Three Titles Captured by Wawrinka, Vekic and Kyrgios

World No. 3 YONEX player, Stanislas Wawrinka (VCORE Tour G, SHT-PRO) defeated, Swiss player Roger Federer 4-6, 7-6(5), 6-2 in the final of the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters last week. It was the first all-Swiss final in 14 years on the ATP Tour.

Stan displayed a solid service game at the final, scoring 80% of his first serve points. He also capitalized on three of seven break chances through the match to overcome his rival. It was the second time that Stan defeated Roger during their 15 match-ups.

Stan improved this season’s match record to 20-3, including 6-0 against Top 10 players and claimed his first ATP Tour Masters 1000 title. He also became the 11th active player to achieve 100 ATP Masters 1000 match wins with his semifinal victory against No. 6 seeded David Ferrer on Saturday.

Donna Vekic (VCORE Xi 100), another YONEX VCORE player, also accomplished a great achievement in her career when she captured her first WTA Tour title at the BMW Malaysian Open. She overcame top-seeded Dominika Cibulkova in the final, who is a finalist of this year’s Australian Open.

The rising Croatian gave a brilliant attacking performance during the final when she scored an amazing 11 service aces and made 17 break chances.  Donna played persistently from one set behind her tough opponent to win a close full-set match, 5-7, 7-5, 7-6(4).

At 17 years old, she is the first player under 18 to win a WTA title since Vania King won Bangkok in 2006.

Australian star Nick Kyrgios (EZONE Ai 98) achieved his second ATP Challenger Tour title at the Sarasota Open in Florida since he won Sydney last year.
