US Open: Pierre Hugues-Herbert Into 2nd Grand Slam Final of 2015

While the rest of the day’s matches were postponed due to heavy rain, Pierre-Hugues Herbert (VCORE Tour G) and partner Nicolas Mahut had enough time to book their place in their second Grand Slam final of 2015.

The French duo faced the English-Swiss combo of Dominic Inglot and Robert Lindstedt in their bid for a spot in the final. The 2015 Australian Open finalists impressed with stunning winners off their returns, with a final count of 35 winners total by the end of the match. While the first set came close, the Frenchmen took advantage of their opponents’ errors in the second set while commanding a strong serve. The French pair broke their opponents serve to close the match, the final score coming to 7-5, 6-2.

Pierre and Nicolas will go on to face Jamie Murray and John Peers in the final.
