Day 3

Donna Vekic (VCORE SV 100) got the action started, and despite a close first set, finished off her second-round opponent Rebecca Pedersen in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4. Things were not to be as easy for Radu Albot (VCORE SV 98POWER CUSHION ECLIPSION 2, apparel), however, as he had to fight through a back-and-forth, 5-set match against Aljaz Bedene to come out victorious.

Day 4

The trick shots were on display as 15th-seeded Nick Kyrgios (EZONE 98POLYTOUR PRO 120) sailed past Robin Haase in straight sets. He next draws the 24th seed, Kei Nishikori. Despite being down a set, Frances Tiafoe (VCORE PRO 97POLYTOUR PRO 125) came out with big swings from there and sent Frenchman Julien Benneteau packing.

On the women’s side, Belinda Bencic (EZONE 100POLYTOUR PRO 125) pulled off a similar feat. After dropping the first set 1-6, she battled back against four match points to finish off Alison Riske 7-6 (10), 6-2. Angelique Kerber (VCOREPOLYTOUR PRO 120), the 11th seed, also came back from a set behind to defeat Claire Liu.  Meanwhile, 18th seed Naomi Osaka (EZONE 98POLYTOUR PRO 125REXIS 130) and 26th seed Daria Gavrilova (EZONE 98POLYTOUR PRO 120) both won in straight sets.
