At the end of this season, YONEX players captured titles again to finish their season with glory. In Moscow, Caroline Wozniacki (VCORE Xi 100) and Maria Kirilenko (EZONE Xi 98, PTGP125) competed at Kremlin Cup last week.
No. 3 seed Caroline advanced to the singles final and faced No. 1 seed Samantha Stosur. Throughout the match, Caroline was strong especially in her return games. She won 8 of 12 break points to defeat the opponent by 6-2, 4-6, 7-5. It was the first title for Caroline since she selected VCORE Xi 100, and she achieved to win 20 WTA titles in her career. Playing with her VCORE Xi racquet, Caroline aims to finish this season as the top 10.
In the final of doubles, No. 2 seed Maria and Nadia Petrova played against No.1 seed Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina. Maria recovered from an injury to restart the tour with a good condition, and she achieved to become the runner-up in the doubles of the tournament.
BGL BNP Paribas Luxembourg Open was also held last week, No. 1 seed Andrea Hlavackova (RQiS 2 Tour, PTGP125) and Lucie Hradecka won the doubles title. In the final, they defeated No. 2 seed Irina-Camelia Begu and Monica Niculescu in straight sets by 6-3, 6-4. The Czech doubles experts showed their experienced performances as well as the other tournaments.
