The YONEX Tennis Stringing Team was featured in issue 9 of RacquetTech Magazine published by the European Racquet Stringers Association. The article introduces our stringing service activity at the 2013 Toray Pan Pacific Open, based on an interview given by team member Mr. Mark Goodman.
Five experienced stringers were brought together by YONEX to play stringer roles in the 30TH Toray Pan Pacific Open held in Tokyo in September 2013, having previously worked together as a stringing team at other events.
The stringers were in the YONEX booth and their work area was open to the public during the tournament. To attract visitors the team set up a laptop displaying which stringer was stringing which player’s racquet. This was displayed in both English and Japanese with the team stringing an impressive 467 racquets throughout the tournament.
Mr. Mark Goodman was pleased with his first visit to Tokyo stating, “The whole YONEX team was incredibly friendly and helped each other out. It was great to see and work with so many friends again - thank you YONEX!”
