The fourth round of ladies' singles were played on Monday, July 2nd in Wimbledon. As the results, 3 YONEX players entered their names in the last 8.
No. 15 seed Sabine Lisicki (VCORE Tour 97), who is a new YONEX player, faced No. 1 seed Maria Sharapova who is the former champion in Wimbledon 2004. In the first set, Sabine was broken the first service game, however, she geared up for breaking twice in a row. And Sabine won the close set after another break. In the next set, she showed aggressive performance and never lost the service games. After one break, she closed the match with 6-4, 6-3 with a big smile. She have faced the Russian in the semifinals of Wimbledon 2011 and Sabine lost. This time, she achieved a big victory.

Another VCORE player, No. 8 seed Angelique Kerber (VCORE 100S) faced against Kim Clijsters. In the whole match, Angelique played accurately as well as past matches in Wimbledon. She made only 1 double faults and 5 unforced errors and had a initiative with stable performance. Angelique achieved 5 breaks while the opponent never did. Finally she won decisively by 6-1, 6-1.
With EZONE Xi 98, Maria Kirilenko had a match against Shuai Peng. It was a close match especially in the second set, however, Maria got 7 of 13 break points to move into the quarterfinals by 6-1, 6-7(6), 6-3. She played steadily enough to show the performances of the EZONE Xi.
Today in the ladies' singles, YONEX players Angelique Kerber and Sabine Lisicki will meet in the quarterfinals, Maria Kirilenko will play against No. 3 seed Agnieszka Radwanska.
